Plus we’re approaching 150 advanced reactors being developed around the world. Nuclear energy stocks are soaring. BUT, now Emmet Penny, and other prominent nuclear advocates warn about over promising what nuclear energy can do and how fast it can be built. I tell my friends (they all ask me for advice :-) , “If you tend to be naive, nuclear energy is your safest bet.” We’ve gone from nuclear energy on its death bed pre-COVID, to it being a silver bullet. Nuclear energy is the future because its fuel is dense and we need to be realistic about how long that transition may take (100 years or more - a blink of an eye). But certainly, the days of nuclear is dead - is dead.

I don't think covering the developments counts as over promising. Without keeping up and celebrating the momentum, there is a danger that things won't continue to move forward, because there are people working very hard to make that happen. Advocates nukers ignored them for years before I came along, to their disadvantage...

My apologies, that is not what I meant to communicate. Simply, that just the opposite of thinking nuclear energy is dying out, it is actually so prolific that long time nuclear advocates are cautioning over exuberance. My intention was to support your message that many good things are happening in nuclear energy, and it is not fading.

Thanks, Irena, for the fodder for the post I'm working on - "The Nuclear Renaisance". I'll surely borrow some of your news items - I'll give you credit for any that I hadn't already found elsewhere.

It's Thanksgiving weekend here in the States, so people are:

1) At the grocery store buying the turkey and trimmings. If not, they're

2) On the road or on the plane in the way to family members' house. If not, they're

3) Making sure they have warm clothes for the early Arctic blast that's on its way.

4) Planning Black Friday's attack on retailers, both in-person and online. Shopping lists at the ready!

If not, maybe they're

4) ..just chilling and taking a holiday

Other than the price at the ⛽, I doubt many people are involved with energy issues until next week. If you took a big gas-guzzling SUV from Minnesota to Florida, you know what you spent on gas, and you also know the weather is warmer in Florida.
